"Me and my son's new favorite place. He loves trying to catch the frogs and snakes. And I love how peaceful it is. I wish they would keep the gras cut shorter. Makes me a bit nervous. Hard to see the snakes in the grass."
"Nice little place across from Mascoutah High School on Route 177. There are two different ponds although they are connected, one with fountains and one without. The one without fountains the water is very green and that likely happens every summer. I get the feeling that there aren't as many fish in either pond as there could be maybe there isn't enough structure on the bottom. With a few tweaks and a good stocking this might be a very nice Fishing Resource but that may not be the overall goal."
"This is a very chill, nice, beautiful lake for fishing. It is also a good hangout spot for old people. My dad really enjoys fishing here, but the only reason I got my pole out was to take the attached photo. Speaking of photos -- this is a great place for photography! Especially when there is a really nice sunset, the reflections off the water are mezmorizing."
"I like it because it's a short drive. Pretty good sized lake for casual bank fishing. I don't seem to have a lot of luck there though, but I'm no professional angler. Watch out for the snakes, too. They're all over, so watch your step."
"Moccasin snake ate my bluegill on a stringer tried to Get it before he ate it but he was already taking it down. Snake pulled stringer got it caught in the rocks...finally it was able to pull free from being stuck swam away with the stringer in tow. Other men came out and saw it more water moccasins appeared smaller babies as they were going to try and kill it to put it out of is misery. Did not stay to watch. To many snakes for me. So be aware of these snakes as they are poisonous. Food giving lake. In 2 days caught a 1.5lb catfish nice crappie and 6 blue gill. 2nd day caught 3 blue gill and another catfish but gave it to the men that tried to help with the snakes."
