Reviews
"This is a really good hike! The young man working in the Visitor Center was excellent! He even walked outside to show us where the trails started and ended! He also highlighted our trail map. We hiked the yellow square and green diamond trails. Both had excellent signage. We loved all of the look out points. Both trails were very pretty."
"Nice little spot! Beware, and be kind, there is a beehive on the tree nearest to this cross."
"Just off the side of the road. God is so good. Believe and receive."
"Cool historical landmark located approximately at the point the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers meet."
"It's an interesting historic site that goes back to the day of the first French explorers in the region. It is one of many sites associated with Pere Marquette and Louis Jolliet's voyage down the Mississippi in the late 17th century. This site is why the park it is in is called Pere Marquette State Park. There is not much of a view besides the treeline across the road which the monument is almost right up against. The stairs are very steep as a result of being close to the road, so be careful when visiting here."
