"We love Blanco River Academy! The dedicated teachers have truly nurtured my child's academic and personal growth and we are grateful to have been welcomed into this supportive community. We highly recommend this school, especially for parents who are interested in a personalized approach, that encourages curiosity and creativity while staying aligned with academic standards."
"I want to make a recommendation for all Austin/Kyle/Buda/San Marcos/Wimberley areas. Blanco River Academy is excellent for 2e…my son has found a safe (away from the bullying culture), challenging school (academic focused) with heart! He is in 7th grade, at a 12th grade level and is challenged daily, in a good way. BRAC is a SMALL private school, next to Blue Hole, so they lean hard on geologic & aquatic studies…also! Great physical fitness—tennis, running etc and jazz band, archery…currently in Spanish as well. Highly recommended!"
"The teachers I met were mean. The principal was a control freak. No real useful skills were built or even mentioned in one day of class. One of my old friends had a broken space bar on his keyboard, and he didn't finish the work they were doing in time, and when he tried to explain himself to the teacher she said "No talk backs, just yes ma'ams." The principal said you had to have an iPad, and that it could not have social media on it (Despite the iPad not being school property OR paid for by them). You can't have phones during the day, which is fine, but they said that if they want to, that they reserve the right to open it and look through it at any time. Creepy behavior for the school that has the word "Kindness" plastered all over the walls. Felt like a cult. All of the students told me that they had around 4 hours of homework a day if it was especially hard. Really creepy. Tons of better private schools in the area. Ripoff for the money."
