"Chillicothe is a hidden gem. Tucked north of Peoria on the west riverfront, Shore Acres is home to a variety of activity. Public pool, pickleball, basketball, and a frisbee golf course. Picnic tables, outdoor grills, as well as a walkway and stairways to the rocky/sandy beach. I’d give it five stars if the beach was better maintained (some litter occasionally), so some room for improvement. But it’s all free (except for seasonal public pool), and as a community I believe many continue to do their part in keeping this area clean and safe. Love visiting on lunch or for sunrise/sunset yoga. Love this quiet little town."

"Nice disc golf park. Not many hills and has shade for those harshly hot summer days. Baskets are very visible from tee pad as well. No poison Ivy/oak and basically impossible to lose a disc!"
