"My son attends this school since his freshmen year and I absolutely love it! The school population is very small, therefore the classes are very small and the students get one on one attention. Teachers are motivating and challenge the students to stay on top. The teachers care about the student's progress in their class and if they have any concern regarding the student, they do not hesitate to call the parent. I absolutely love how you can call the office and they recognize your child's name. That familiarity make me feel like I am leaving my child with family members who seek and care for his well being rather than just another institution where he is just another face,, another number. If you are in the area and have the opportunity for your child to attend this school, do not hesitate to apply. You, as a parent, you as a student, will not regret it at all."
"Awesome small school. Always looking out for the students best interest. So glad they took a chance on my child."
"I am a student at Eastwood Academy and there is no doubt that Eastwood is a different kind of school. Eastwood is what each student decides to make out of it. In the same graduating class you have students going to the University of Pennsylvania, Williams College, or HCC. The system itself is so darn good. Students are motivated in every way possible to excel at anything they do. Teachers do care about their students. Seek help and you will be immersed in it. Resources? Too many! Bullying is not even an issue at the school, Eastwood is probably the most inclusive school that there is in Houston. Regarding academics: Eastwood is becoming more rigorous academically, the expectations for the incoming classes are high and prospect of it is good."
"Well I believe that Eastwood is a very amazing school and they really care about my education. Many of the teachers here are very amazing and go out of their way just to be able to help us. They offer us many opportunities to be able to go to college and many of the people that I've met here at Eastwood are amazing and kind. It is true what they say Eastwood is just a second big family. "
"I am a current student and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I think they guy who posted the nasty review might have been an alum that was expelled. The majority of the teachers are great minus 1 English teacher and the environment is about as safe as it possibly can be, very little/ non-serious bullying, extremely tolerant of all races, religions and sexual ordinations (we have the Gay-Straight Alliance Club). The teachers will go out of their way to help you succeed but you also need to show actual interest for success. We did have a teacher that was fired for an inappropriate relationship with a teacher but he is as of now dealing with the legal system. This is a VERY good school. No question about it."
