"I personally love to drive to the park and.. well park, I usually bring food and ny partner and we sit and face the river and eat. There's a playground about 50-100ft from the parking lot. It's nice to listen to kids laugh and play while we sit together. There's a small floating dock that I've spent many nights walking too with friends, just to sit and watch the river at night. There's usually a good handful of people when it's warm out, but as long as your respectful of the public space (aimed at children) everyone is friendly and more than happy to let you pet their dogs! In the summer There's a splash pad and Frisbee course for kids (or adults who are kids at heart) to enjoy! As always, enjoy your time in ottawa And DONT LITTER! There's tons of trashcans around the park, and in the spring and summer geese bring their babies to the river and they don't need, nor should they have too, dig through our trash and scraps!"
"Nice park, big open areas. Need to be resurfaced. Boat dock is a nice input to the river."
"Trying to be fit? Then the this trail is the perfect spot and its all the way to Chicago if you can survive. This is the peaceful trail I’ve ever been so far. But my sister to told me to very be careful and not go alone."
"First time here and our family enjoyed it. There was fun for both our 2.5 year-old and our 9-month-old. Plus, right before sunset there was no one else there. I recommend it. I only put 4 stars because we didn't go anywhere else in the park bwsides the playground."
"Nice little place to take the kids. Close enough to the river to walk around, enough play things to keep the kids occupied. There's also a splash pad and disc golf here (if you're not familiar with the park)"
