"We visited in September, the water was pretty dried up so there was no waterfall which was a little disappointing but the leaves, trails and views made up for it. We will be visiting again in the spring/summer to see the waterfall. We also went during the week and there wasn't very many people so we really got to enjoy the sounds of nature and the quiet."

"Not clean surroundings. It would have been better place than this. Falls doesn’t have enough water flow. You May go deep below and it’s amazing to walk there. Atmosphere is little smelly."

"My favorite spot in the Matthiessen State Park! It’s not far by walking from the parking lot in the dell area and choosing the lower dells trail. Once you cross the bridge, need to go further down along the lower dell trail and see the stairs going down into the valley. It could be pretty icy and slippery during the winter, but the view definitely worth it. Highly recommended!"
