"If it was an option of 0 stars that is the perfect grade for this school. My son has been a student here since 9th grade and this school is horrible is a mild description on the educational system and environment. There is an English 2 teacher that discriminated against my student because he learns differently and she dont feel she have to follow federal or local laws that is pertaining to educating students and meeting their needs. They are a joke. But I will use what ever platform to inform the community to get involved and speak out about the performance of the schools. They got a tax bond and the improvements that would really help the student they chose to buy buildings not computers for all secondary schools so they will be up to par like most of the surrounding districts. This district is so behind and dont care about our children or the community. It s always about $$ that they dont spend for a better educational program for the children. But the state may one day take a look in the right places and then make a huge change from this. Listen not all the teachers and people is bad and dont care but its more of the bad than the good."
"Currently I am a senior a Westfield High School (Class of 2019). Honestly, the administration does have some it's issues with organization of school events and alerting teacher/students of upcoming test schedules (mostly due to 'last minute' changes that leave the majority of the facility perplexed). However, despite popular opinion, most teachers/staff do put our education a priority and try to find a method for all their students to succeed in high school and college. Ironically, most times when a student does complain about the administration not assisting them or having lack in profession, they too the lack dedication and discipline needed to make grades high enough to pass. Also some students simply won't comply with the teacher just because of internal bias. However, some teachers also tend to place students in "mental groups" (stereotyping) depending on how they act outside of their room or gossip from other teachers about the student(s)(this is also influenced by past experience). Also, there are some classes that don't require any effort because the teacher basically gives you "free" grades. The biggest problem here at Westfield is the lack of "spirit" between the student and administration. No one actually tries to make an effort to improve the education, facility, etc. In order to make it better for themselves and future generations."
"Even though I've had a very difficult time going to Westfield, I really appreciate my teachers more than anything else for staying on point and trying to keep things in perspective in class, while having a positive attitude as best as they can. I also enjoy my extracurricular activities."
"I graduated in 2004 and back then it was tolerable. I have heard only bad things since. Academically, if you weren't in an AP class then you would not be prepared for college. I went on to college and graduated with a Bachelor's degree but it was no cake walk. I didn't have any horrible teachers really, but there were always distractions. Whether it be someone physically fighting in class or students just being unruly and disrespectful. There were times where it was "fun" but looking back it was just people acting like a bunch of damn fools. When people find out I went to Westfield their faces change to immediate concern and distress and ask "What was that like?!" Lol so sad. Definitely would NEVER send my kids to any Spring ISD school especially Westfield."
"Worst high school ever. It's dirty, the staff is incompetent and the teachers don't care. They don't care and it shows. The students know they don't care and behave like wild and aggressive animals. Woe be unto you should you step into that wretched building. Lunch is divided into twenty minute segments during a class period. The school starts at 6:45am. An ungodly hour indeed. The buses are never punctual and the food is sub par. The school does not make sense. The public would be better serviced if it were burnt down, rebuilt, and more importantly the entire faculty replaced by competent human beings. The school puts greater emphasis on it's athletic department ( primarily it's football team) than on education. If you care about your kids don't send them to a school that thinks football is >English/math/science"
