"The first floor is the button museum, a huge upgrade from when it was located in the old spot. The jewelry for sale is affordably priced and the displays are clean. The second floor is dedicated to local business. The lady at the front was very nice and helpful."
"This place is so cool! They have a lot of fun and interactive exhibits for kids. I liked the giant muscle diorama the most. It was really educational. A great place to spend an hour when in downtown Muscatine. The lady running the gift shop was super nice. She gave my kids a fun pamphlet about muscles and was lovely to talk to. Worth the visit just to talk to her!"
"This is a very informative place, so much to see and read here. It's well laid out and consists of two levels. Definitely a learning museum with so many old pieces of machinery there. It gives a true meaning of tedious work for the people employed there. There is no cost to enjoy the museum however they do have a donation box near the front door. Please consider a nice donation as it's what keeps this place open."
"Very informative and enlightening. Volunteer Kelly was excellent in showing us around and augmenting the displays with great stories. A lot of history about Muscatine. Check out the second floor, too."
"Came here on a school field trip. Terry Eagle gave a brief presentation of the history of the pearl button factory. From its beginning to its demise. Did not realize the extensive historical influence this industry had on the growth of Muscatine. There are many items on display related to the pearl button manufacturing. There is a gift shop. Worth the trip. Call ahead and ask for a tour. Recommend!"
