"I attended the school in 2012 as an exchange student and I loved the school. The teachers were really nice, people were friendly, everything about the school was pleasant. I even made it to the varsity team and everyone made me feel like home. Have some of the most beautiful memories attached to this place. The only complaint I had was that sometimes the washrooms were dirty, otherwise the school's really good."

"I attended Bellaire from 1965-1969. Back then it already had 3,000 students but NO air conditioning. It was nicknamed "Hebrew High" because of high proportion of Jewish kids. On Jewish holidays the AP classes (we called them Honors classes) were 1/3 empty. I apologize for the stereotype but those kids were smart and we had over 30 national merit finalists the year I graduated. Also the football team went to the state championship game, so there was excellence all around. I was able to take Calculus and Russian there, which was pretty unusual at that time. I had some of the best teachers of my life at Bellaire, including my French teacher, Madame Glass, long gone from this world, I'm sure. Wherever you are, God bless you, Mme. Glass. I get compliments on my accent to this day because of you. Of course there were cliques and sadistic gym coaches, heartbreak and all the usual high school BS as well as friends and learning. I pray you will mostly enjoy your time in High School and grow up to contribute to humanity. When I left drugs were just starting to appear, there as everywhere. I can tell you from experience they will f you up and send you off course. Do yourself and all of us a favor: stay clean and sober. Work diligently to make something of yourself. This high school was and is a good springboard, but you're responsible for your own life."

"It is no longer the school it once was. I started freshman year back in 2011 and everything was incredible. There was an immense diversity of different races and cultures which made the school a nice experience the first 3 years. By the time I was in senior year, the school was doing downhill fast. Students that weren't zoned started to use fake addresses to attend. Drugs became more rampant, teachers were increasingly becoming lazy, too many students made the halls incredible packed with almost no where to walk without shoving into someone, and the cleanliness of the school decreased. I'm glad I graduated before it got to the point is is now, it had become filled with reckless and disrespectful teenagers. Many of which are zoned to schools like Madison, Lamar, and Yates."

"Going to this school was one of the greatest blessings in life. It helped me so much for my college and the teachers are very nice and help you out as much as possible. The ROTC program truly changed my life. They are the most extraordinary people of all time, and help you make a change into your community. Best school ever!!"

"Quite a good experience so far, from the students to the teachers to the curriculum. The exterior of the school is decent, yes, but the inside is full of students that actually care! Same as the teachers! I have not had a bad teacher at this school, and I see nothing but goodness in the future for me. Quite the nice experience."
