"This place was a pure nightmare I was a patient in the girls rtc for 4 months whatever you do please don’t send your kids here I had horrible anxiety and didn’t feel comfortable showing my face so I would wear a mask and I had bangs that covered my eyes so every now and then I would tie my bangs back to see but put them down whenever I ate or just had my mask off and instead of helping me with my anxiety they (one single tech and nurse) decided I had to keep my bangs up and my mask off and if I didn’t they would scold me make fun of me and exclude me from participating in things such as painting our nail doing our hair or skin masks, and they would stop giving me masks whenever they made me throw mine away whenever this happened I didn’t know what to so I stayed in my room and cried. And there would be times when I would get made fun of by a tech and during shift change they let one of the patients hear everything so rumors spread about things I did to where I was getting made fun of my other patients and staff. That’s not even the worst of it when I was a while away from discharge I made a mistake that got me put on something they call “Parallels” where they kept me from communicating with anyone but staff which made me more depressed as I followed them for a few weeks trying to get off parallels but if anyone so much as LOOKED at me I was put on it even longer so eventually I gave up and started talking to people but they told the other patients if they talked to me back they would get in trouble to so I was left talking to no one for a month almost until I discharged. Oh and btw the one tech who I was talking about this whole time was MS JANNET she ruined it for me if anything instead of getting better it made me worse the peak was traumatic I would witness countless restraint to the point I think back of the screams and cries daily let alone the images of patients digging into their skin until it was bleeding, even pulling there hair out. Kids there tried to get into as many restraints as possible so they would get kicked out! just please don’t send your kids there long term. The short term was alright actually and please for gods sake fire ms jennet"
"Disappointed on Jan 27th visit with the lack of HIPAA professionalism and respect for confidentiality in the interview process. Staff was too careless to seek out another location that was private in which to interview the concerned family members of the patient. The healthcare sensitive details that were of vital concern were unknowingly overheard by the patient, which caused more unnecessary family conflict and were completely ignored by the staff. Extremely dangerous and careless protocol. Avoid this location for treatment."
"I called today to ask about information for my son. He is going through a crisis and is medically diagnosed already. The woman who answered the phone said to me “do you spank him”?as a solution. You don’t say that to someone who is dealing with someone who is going through a crisis. Very unprofessional and sounds uneducated as well. She even said to put him on time out."
"When I was down there for rtc at first I didn’t like it. I just wanted to get out I was in the rtc program for 7 months. There was days I felt like nothing was helping me. I felt like what I said didn’t matter. But there was days Where everything was good everything was all right. They taught me a lot of skills. There were a couple staff that I loved. They kept me up and helped me out when I was struggling. Ms. Jeanette. Ms. Carmelita. And Ms. Aida. Mrs. Mallela was a very good therapist. She helped me out a lot don’t get me wrong we had our moments but they really helped me understand why I needed to be there and why what I was doing could leave me dead or back in jail. I would say though if you don’t want your kids medicated don’t go there but your kids do have a choice to say they don’t want medication but it’s always up to the parent too"
"Yeah do not recommend. They find ways to manipulate you into staying longer and will traumatize you into keeping your issues to yourself. There was no therapist counseling as I only saw one for 10 minutes then nothing we just talked about my history no talk about my current situation, didn't really get any help from it. Saw the doctor every morning 2 minutes tops. Nothing absolutely to do, no wonder everyone goes insane there. Staff walk around ignoring patients with earbuds in their ears and blasting music, and announcing to all of us they need a smoke break and sipping their starbucks in front of everyone while the food gives us all diarrhea or food poisoning. My roommate was not feeling well and when we told the nurse she brushed us off saying she's too busy on her computer. There was feces and blood in the bathrooms and walls of the sleeping quarters and God knows where else. I was met by the billing office saying I'll owe thousands of dollars and for what? There was absolutely no therapists and therapy sessions. I got more help from the other patients than the medical staff. It was like a detention center in there and they put tracking monitors on us saying its to check your vitals but really just making sure you dont escape. I tried to check myself out but the staff kept dodging me with excuses for the Against Medical Advice form and then tried to say the doctor wont let you unless he says its okay. So again, they will trick you into staying against your will. You're better off having a meltdown in your home surrounded by your hobbies and self care. God help you if you end up in this hell hole called a treatment center."
