"The absolute worst school in Texas along side with hisd, think twice for your children and don't let them suffer in this sink hole of a school. The teachers will not care for your kids nor you at all, all of them are self centered and rude as hell. Also the food that was surved is like prison food and makes kids sick after eating it. The only good thing I liked about going there was seeing friends.."
"The administracion from the counselors to the principal very slow to react with problem kids. They seem to want to sweep everything under the rug and hopefully it will go away that’s their thinking. They are more interested in the number of students they have and do not want to remove the problem ones out so they don’t lose their federal funding. I was told that as long as a student does not get into a fight more the every 6 month he is not a proble. What kind of thinking is that? Very glad my kid is almost done with this school. Principal is very inadequate for they job."
"Very sad to read some of the comments here. Some of the comments are not even coherent or capable of formulating a complete sentence. As a class of ’94 alumni am very proud to call “KO” my high school. Looking back and remembering some of the best educators; Boyd (Chem I and II), Beverley (sic, taught Bio I and II), Swagger (Physics I and II), Gray (English), Spencer (Algebra), Gabbard (sic, Football), Vehoffer (sic, CC and track) and many more outstanding teachers and coaches who cared about my future but I’m failing to recall their names. Ultimately, I went on to graduate from TAMU with a BS in Biochemistry and MS in Strategic Studies from Marine Corps University. Now I’m a reputable and contributing member of society. The Good: Teachers and Coaches. The KO facility was top notch! The Bad: (1) The students are privileged and spoiled. I remembered when the students were so proud when “KO” was nominated by David Letterman on his Top 10 List of the most spoiled schools. The students themselves attempted to destroy the learning environment by throwing fits, manipulating authorities, destroying school properties, being under the influence of drugs, and yes, there were a lot of sex. This is however common in most HS in our district. (2) Drugs. KO is notorious for drugs. I don’t know how the drugs came in but there were lots of it. Consumption of these illegal/controlled substance can be observed in the vehicle of the student’s parking lot in the morning and afternoon. (3) Fights! There will be fights. HS is a micro-society where those who strive to better themselves and those who don’t are confined under one roof. There will be fights and lots of it. Privileged and spoiled kids ready for society by exercising the art of manipulation and criminality before they are wholly responsible for their action. (4) The haves and “have nots”: Homecoming and Pep rallies are indicative of those who are popular based on parents’ monetary support. This purchased popularity isn’t a bad thing as it is somewhat reflective of the actual society that these children will go and grow into. Meanwhile those “have nots” will have the opportunity to leverage these experiences as motivation to meet their expectations in life –if they choose. Looking back I liked and cherished my memories at Klein Oak."
"Every time i walk into this school, my hope of achieving greatness is withered down by the AP's who enforce hats off rule. Without this rule there is no hope in our future to teach discipline and respek. We also have subs and teachers who still enforce no cell phone policy, as if they forgot its the year 2016 and technology is literally a daily necessity. I've been going to this school for 4 years and can wait to escape a bought out prison by klein ISD's budget. Also there's roaches, everywhere, but thats okay because its normal and part of the klein oak experience. It gets boring though, never see any rats around. Anyways, cant wait to leave! Sincerly, Me"
"School staff does not have any management, getting anything done was like pulling teeth. Poor teaching atmosphere and unorganized system. Schools tried to claim that I owed multiple fines even though I was a new student. Don't see how people see this as a fit IB district."
