"i never leave reviews because i usually just don't care enough. but this experience merits a review -- a really really bad review. the lone star taxi operator insisted that we add money to the total to compensate him for the "airport charge." i protested and later confirmed this was total BS and included in the fare. the whole time i was discussing this with him the meter was left running which i also protested but caved as i was exhausted form a long day of travel. i called to give the company a chance to make things right and they totally failed there as well. i'm not a complainer. i even gave the guy a tip just to make sure i was on the right side of fairness and decency. do yourselves a huge favor and just get an uber ride from the Austin airport."

"The van was decrepit inside with tape on the ceiling interior, the sliding door had to be closed manually, and the head rests were all defective. The worst taxi I had ever experienced. I would give O stars if possible. Avoid this company at all costs. I have sent a complaint regarding not meeting the basic standards to the Austin Trans Dept."

"Cab #135 is a damn idiot. I’m driving on 183 today 05/12/2018 and he comepletly cuts me off and is honking like it’s my fault. There’s construction on both sides of the hwy and the road was ending. The whole way to the light he is driving aggressively and when we get to the light is spitting outside his window and flipping me off. We were in a construction zone 45 speed limit he was clearly speeding. Like you wanna fight - I’m a women you dumb jerk. I called the dispatch and all they said they were going to call him. The cab drivers are independent but at the end of the day they are representing Lone State Cab so be professionally and drive responsibly."

"On a night when Uber was insanely expensive (pushing $60 on New Years Eve) We ordered Lone Star and our driver came and was very nice. He took us straight to our hotel, the car was clean, overall it was a good and normal experience. 3 Stars because it took him a while to find us, but it seemed like the dispatcher's fault and a bit of a language barrier. Anyways, very thankful for the ride at 2am in 10 degree weather."

"I normally don’t write reviews. But the time the driver and the owner/operator spent looking for my phone after I left it in the cab the night before was awesome. I called the next morning after leaving my phone in the car. The owner/operator worked with me for an hour or two to get my phone back. The drver of the cab even offered to bring it all the way back down to my house. He was in north Austin and I live down south. I would highly recommend using Lone Star Cab company."
