"Unsafe for children. This place teaches to the test and only teaches to the test. Testing, testing, testing. Inclusion is a four-letter word at this achool. Be White and Christian or suffer. Every year, the principal requires instruction to stop for a Christmas Parade. Every year, Halloween is also celebrated. Be careful here. HISD offers better academic selection and embraces diversity."
"My family and I absolutely love this school!! My daughter had Me. Evans last year and Me. Horstman this year. They are both very sweet and very dedicated teachers. All of the staff is friendly. I have never had a negative experience here. The new principal has helped improve the school in so many ways. I also want to mention that the club rewind staff here is very attentive and very patient. Thank you to all of you for being a part of my daughter's education!!!!!"
"Today was new student registration. Process was inefficient. A combined time of 6 hours to register my son for 3rd grade. If this is any indication of the quality of administration, I am saddened we moved to this district."
"Unfortunately, the principal has created a toxic place that is unsafe place for both students and teachers alike. Students are segregated by race, reduced to numerical scorings, and treated poorly. Each week, crying can be heard on this campus--and not just the teachers--children weep to leave. Parents are not honored or consulted. Teachers goose step to the unethical administrative dictates of "teach to the test". NON-existent Gifted/Talented Program. No extracurricular activities. Be mindful, that this school does not embrace diversity and only Christians are acceptable."
"I really miss Post Elementry and their staff. My son loved it and his teacher Mrs. Cox was excellent. We have since moved out of the their zone to attend that school. The staff there is extremely welcoming and they know most children (if not all by name). Parents were always welcomed and involved. I wish they accepted transfers."
