"Ease up the uniform policy! Jeez. Blue jeans only on Fridays?? AND no hoodies?? Like, FOR REAL?? That's just bs. Other than that, it's all good."
"Like most public schools, you must take the good with the bad. I was one of the bad when I entered from the Village. And though they didn't entirely succeed, my reformation towards good started here at Westside, swimming the interminibabble of their beautifully designed pool and it's teak chapel ceiling."
"Of course, this is a public school, and I have no right to complain about the amount of kids here, but seriously, I feel extremely uncomfortable here, especially at lunch where students run rampant through the cafeteria, also known as the "commons" as the staff insist you call it. Students steal chairs from tables without asking if anyone's sitting in it, and blast music through speakers. The principal insists the uniforms "keep the students safe", but safe from what? A few years ago, she sent out several student surveys about uniforms, and each time they came back asking for NO uniforms. Another topic I'd like to vent about this school is the fact that we only have 5 mins to get to each class. At least make it 7 minutes. The school is massive. (that's another thing I hate about this school." The kids here are a problem on their own. My friend got her hair spat in by a student here while we were minding our own business. I think the staff and teachers are generally laid back, but there are definitely a rotten few who fit the stereotype exactly of middle aged men who's wife doesn't love him anymore so he takes his hatred out through a power trip over teenagers. If you work here, please don't call me out of class and slap me with a detention. This is only for means of venting my frustrations with this school and is not a personal attack on anyone at this school."
"I love this school. My son was a student for four years and a football player for Westside. ( Keenen Freeman) AKA Keno God bless all of the staff at Westside. Have a Blessed Summer."
"it's not a bad school the only thing i didnt't like this year are uniforms the people are nice the teachers (most of them) are laid back and the school is laid back unless you cause trouble you're good it's not perfect but it's pretty good the people are nice and no one really judges you it's kind of boring but it can be lit at times the principle sucks tho :/"
