"This school has B rating from the State of Texas. It is a choice school and students may attend if they don't live in there area."
"My sister called my crying because she substituted for this school and the kids were screaming at her and literally physically fought eachother and started getting in her face. They called my sister (a college student majoring in elementary education) a 'fat white cr*cker b*tch' and while she is those things, that doesn't make their behavior okay. I don't blame the kids, but the administration is a joke. They did nothing to help her, and generally seemed annoyed that she was even upset, as if they are used to the kids being like this and don't care to do anything about it. When she said that they didn't help her stop the class from literally throwing chairs at her, they said "Then you can just leave." This campus administrators are jokes and need to find a new profession."
"My children attended the school. As a parent this school gives me feel very uncomfortable. Teachers not teaching just socializing with students and staff. Very unorganized no communication amongst staff or parents. I believe there's also thievery going on. My child won a gift card was supposed to have $100 on it from Walmart there was only $12. This is not a school just a ghetto social club. SMH My children will never attend here ever again"
"My children are students here and I find it very unprofessional and lacking proper supervision for the children. I will not allow my children to return for any further years of miseducation."
"Of all the schools I have been involved with in the past 8 years...MLK Academy is the most organized. Clerk filters all the energy that walks into the school. The teachers are passionate about working with the children. The staff is on point. Even the Maintenance team helps to create an 'old school' feeling within the realm of today. My only regret is I didn't bring my child here years ago."
