"I am pretty satisfied with the school. Things are usually taken care of in a timely manner. They have started taking extra precaution for any one entering the premises with security so that give me some peace of mind. The only thing I do not like and constantly experience, I can never get anyone to answer the phones I will call and call and it just rings..... it would be nice to have them answer the phones in a timely manner and be ready to answer any questions or concerns I may have."

"My 5 children have been attending B.A.S.E. since 2017 and one received special education program, now iam told the school will not have it and they're expecting me to send one child or all across town to the location that has special Ed program to brooks collegiate off Vance jackson. I told them they're backing me into a corner with no choice as a parent for my child I have joint custody of my children and their father resides in floresville. There is no way my children can attend now.my children will have to all be moved to a different school away from their friends and fellow classmates they have been growing up with, to a school around the same location. Iam so upset and hurt at how little they care and have no options for me as a parent my kids were to graduate from this school now a week before school starts Iam told this and it is not an option."

"Ever since my sophomore year (2016-2017) the school has gone down a very steep end. The board of education hired the most incompetent, unqualified, and unprofessional superintendent, Ms. Schutz (I prefer calling her by another inappropriate name because of her performance as superintendent). First, she cannot make up her mind on the bell schedule. It was completely fine before my sophomore year. It was smooth, non-problematic, and everyone understood it. But in my high school years, she changed it up THREE TIMES, and even after I graduated!! Another thing is that she treats the staff unfairly, firing them in they do not agree with her, by personal preference. She thinks she's the queen bee of the school because of her power. I almost did not want to shake her hand in graduation, but was forced to. With the many changes, firing of good staff and hiring of insufferable ones, and unnecessary "safety regulations" for when there's a threat made to the school (because there's been three, one not targeted at our campus, but the school took away our bags regardless), really all this superintendent cares about is the money. In our peaceful protest against our coach's firing, she THREATENED TO SUSPEND OVER 200 STUDENTS!! If I could dig a lot deeper, I could find many laws she's broken. The many flaws this school has now are because of her. Update: She's basically a Dolores Umbridge rip-off."

"We moved all our 4 kids to Brooks Academy of Science & Engineering in 2012 and never left! The school provides great education and both my older kids were prepared for college. The teachers really care about your child’s success and the principal along with administration are always visible and available."

"*Brooks Academy of Science & Engineering * Horrible school!!!! My son was hit twice by the same child and both times he told a teacher and nothing was done! Met with the “dean” of the school who basically tells me nothing can be done, they won’t even remove the kid from my sons class because of “legal issues” which is not true! At any other school they treat bullying very seriously, suspend the child, etc. He didn’t even get sent home! And he was back in class the following day! Just shows these kids it’s okay to hit on other children. The communication is horrible also! I’ve had issues with the school since day one and was hoping it would get better. They are extremely unorganized! My child will no longer be attending and I hope parents think twice before enrolling their children."
