"This school is now accredited and offers dual credit for High School students. I have 3 children attending this school. I was a little skeptical about transferring my kids to Sunnybrook but I’m so glad I’m made the decision to send them here . My children have excelled in so many ways since attending. This school is academically on par and it they also offer an agricultural class for elementary through high school. There is a weekly chapel service and my kids have learned so much of Bible . All the staff seem to be truly invested in the children . This school especially stood out to me when all the schools in town went to remote learning at the beginning of the 20-21 school year, yet they took all precautions to still have the children attend school all year long . I’m very happy and I highly recommend this school."
"sunnybrook Christian academy is a very small school, it is a very inexpensive school. To be honest it is the cheapest tuition costing school in San Antonio. The school leaders are always doing something new to the school trying to keep it updated . With all that said , GOD IS THERE, HIS PRESENCE CAN BE FELT. I graduated from sunnybrook only attending one year, also met my beautiful wife of 17yrs there. when I left ,I was glad as a child. BUT as a grown man with 3 children, after briefly having my kids in public school, we decided to come back to Sunnybrook. God willing , my son will graduate 2020, my daughter will graduate with honors 2020-2021. Our youngest is still in elementary. I appreciate sunnybrook extending the lessons and beliefs we believe in our home. In the athletic dept. VOLLEYBALL, BASKETBALL have been huge the last 2 years, and plan to be bigger 2019 year, Be easy, be blessed."
"Just another church trying to stay afloat using private school income. This place lacks innovation and there is a reason why the school shows no growth. Claiming to be a college prep school when really you are better off at public school with better programs, properly staffed and free of charge. I came from a school just like this, with these same characteristics and as a student it did not benefit me at all. I struggled in college only wishing my parents listen to me in putting me a public school with better opportunities for my future. Education is not something you can just try to make a profit off of. It is to equipped the next generation with the knowledge and truth, using these tools to create a better future. I also understand if you’re trying to keep your child from being exposed to the world and teaching them the Word. You are also better off paying top dollar like at Cornerstone and by just the fruits of that school it is place that has growth and innovation. In the end it is up to the child to receive and apply what they have learn but Sunnybrook is not that place with the tools and resources to equip them with that."
"I attended from 2000 to 2007. In 2007, I left SCA thinking I would be graduating the next year. Because the administration lied to the students, we were unaware that rumors of the school loosing its accreditation were actually true. I was forced to repeat my junior year, but found that while the school claimed to be college prep- that title meant nothing. Most of my classes at Sunnybrook were sub-par (only being at the level of a regular placement), and there was no opportunity for advanced placement or diverse study options. We had no lab for science courses, our computer classes were merely typing classes, our English classes taught grammar but not rhetorical analysis skills- leaving me severely stunted in my academic growth. Be cautious if thinking of enrolling your high schooler here."
"I have 3 grown children who have attended Sunnybrook, and 2 of them have graduated from there. I have 5 grandchildren that also attended Sunnybrook during their elementary years. You can say what you want about the appearance of the school but the education, the teachers and the staff far outweigh the aesthetics. Because the teachers have a love for God it reflects upon the students. The curriculum is outstanding and although not accredited, many students have gone on to procure great achievements. Yes, there are many areas that are lacking as far as the buildings and the classrooms are concerned but there is no lack in the compassion and love given to the students from the daycare all the way to high school. In this day and age where there is so much turmoil and uncertainty, the Spirit of God is present at Sunnybrook and every child is given the opportunity to learn of the Lord. This fact alone is enough to know that Sunnybrook Christian Academy, is blessed!"
