But you can’t just lock the doors before the store closes and not let customers in when people such as myself might need to run in for a single last minute item and be out before closing. I arrived in the freezing cold for an emergency item only to be locked outside before closing time on 1/14/2024 so I am very dissatisfied with the service of whoever was on the staff this day."

"My girlfriend and I came into the Meremac Station Road Aldi on Friday Jan 12th. 2024 at ~1:40pm. It was our first time ever being here. We did our shopping like normal. Store was clean and tidy. Shelves were stocked. Then we got to checkout. The lady working the checkout counter was blatantly high on some kind of stimulant drug. She was arguing with the customer at the counter over something to do with cash back. When we made it to the counter, in lieu of a 'hello', she threw her hands up and loudly exclaimed that she would not be doing any cash back. I said that's fine I don't need cash back. She took a sticky note, wrote "NO CASH BACK" and stuck it to the card reader screen. Then she started scanning our groceries. My girlfriend and I exchanged concerned looks. As she is scanning our groceries, she starts genuinely throwing the items into the cart. She tossed canned foods on top of our fragile goods like cookies and chips. She paid no mind to whether she was damaging items while throwing them in the basket, and in all honestly was throwing a temper tantrum at me for something that happened with the previous aforementioned customer. I asked her why she was throwing my items into the cart, to which she replied "are you going to pay or not?" So I said I'll decide that after I talk to your manager. She directed me to the man behind her bagging curbside delivery orders. He didn't look at me or even acknowledge my existence. He told me I could retrieve new items in exchange for any damaged ones but told me the cashier was quote "trained on speed" and was putting items in the cart appropriately. At this point we gave up and left without our groceries because clearly these two were in cahoots and I wasn't convinced he was anywhere near a managerial position anyways. So we left. Later we came back and got our groceries through self checkout. But beware anyone who shops here. The employees are despicable. They hate their lives and they GENUINELY (I cannot stress this enough) GENUINELY consume uppers on the clock. Its insane. I think we will be going to the Manchester location from now on. When he said they are "trained on speed" I think he meant they are literally trained while high on speed. If they don't get a 5 minute break to get their next hit of dope, they flip out on the customers. If you do anything as a company, anything at all, it should be to issue drug tests to every employee at the Meremac Station Rd location. I'm telling you they are off the rails. Thanks for reading."

"Great prices! I’m a happy man because they just installed self service checkout registers. I love the bold & zesty pretzels that are only sold here. Food quality is the same as Schnucks and Dierbergs. The workers are always polite and helpful."
