Reviews
""We have had a wonderful experience at Kinwest Montessori Academy with our daughters, Anaya and Amyra. The atmosphere here is calm and inviting, a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle often found in other schools. One aspect we particularly appreciate is the individual attention each student receives. The one-on-one focus ensures that Anaya and Amyra are not just learning, but truly understanding and engaging with the material. Additionally, the staff's kindness and professionalism make a significant difference. They are not only educators but also caring individuals who genuinely invest in the students' well-being. This environment fosters not only academic growth but also personal development, making Kinwest Montessori Academy an exceptional choice for any family.""
"Kinwest Montessori is hands down the best daycare/Montessori academy in the Irving area. Others we checked out in the vicinity are Wonderland,Ivy, Rockbrook and New Age Montessori. I will give a detailed review for Wonderland and Kinwest the big 2 near us. Our elder one went to Wonderland & younger one is in Kinwest. Kinwest is outright the superior school. Comparison between Kinwest and Wonderland Montessori (valley Ranch): 1. Fee: Wonderland Montessori is way more expensive. Both schools are not easily affordable for an average income household. 2. Teachers: Kinwest has the best teacher to handle kids of younger age. Miss Marissa is the stand out, she is absolutely fantastic when it comes toddlers. Like a mother, full of love I have not seen a better primary caregiver than her in any school. Ms. Priscilla, Ms. Abby, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Joselyn, Kinwest have extremely patient and caring teachers. In comparison Wonderland have teachers like Ms. Megumi, Ms. Kaur, Ms. Madhu (left) etc., who were extremely good, but without any disservice to them, the school had a general philosophy of prioritizing independence over child care (such as not insisting the child to finish their food, not assisting them to drink milk) etc. While both schools enabled our kids to be independent the Montessori way, idiosyncrasies of a child (or tantrums specific to child) were handled much better by Kinwest and that's why I feel its the best school in the vicinity. They tend to individual kid's needs much better in conjunction with making them highly independent. This was severely lacking in Wonderland were all kids were put in the same bucket. (My kids ate much better at Kinwest than Wonderland) 3. Safety and Video Surveillance: Both schools have extremely strict safety measures with video surveillance. But Wonderland edged out with a much better security system capable of handling unthinkable crazy gun situations while Kinwest is yet to foolproof for crazy situations. 4. Video/Photo of child: Wonderland earns their buck here as they take periodic pictures/Videos of your young ones in between classes and activities (until 2 years). We felt like we were a part of our toddler lives at wonderland. This is lacking in Kinwest and if they can do something similar, they will be the indisputable preferred choice for montessori in the vicinity. 5. Language and general Learning: Kinwest is easily the better teaching school. BY 2 years there is a significant difference in the spoken English, alphabet identification and numeral identification between the two schools. The teachers work much harder at Kinwest and their methods are giving better results. That said, Wonderland had a better well-rounded secondary language program for toddlers (Spanish). 6. Craft and Play time: Both the schools are adequately equipped to teach crafts and innovative fun time. There are songs, dances, sensory toys, halloween cards, July 4 flags etc. Both schools work hard in keeping the kids super-engaged. 7. Cleanliness and Environment: Both schools were extremely hygienic and clean, Kinwest is much more spacious than Wonderland and the kids feel like they are in a castle. In comparison, Wonderland felt more like a house, a little too cramped. 8. Lunch Program: Wonderland had a lunch service as well as snack, that's good for working parents but was bad for the kids. Their lunch was mostly junk food with milk/juice (menu could have changed). Combine this with the teachers going the complete Montessori way of making the child independent, you were left with hungry kids or kids eating unhealthy food.(better to send lunch if you want them to eat healthy). Kinwest allows you to order for lunch for working parents or send lunch. The big upside is, they worked harder to ensure your kids are eating. 9. Customer Service/Desk Service: Kinwest has patient friendly people working on the desk, particularly Ms.Janice who is pleasant, very professional & extremely responsible when it comes to information regarding the child. I highly recommend Kinwest as your goto Montessori place."
"We have had a combination of our kids at Kinwest since I believe 2019 and have had kids in their toddler, primary, and elementary rooms (and now their new baby room). This has been a great school for all kids -- and I have no doubt our kids' ability to read at an early age and their love of math is thanks to the skills and strategies taught at Kinwest. Their staff is caring and the kids LEARN! This has been an excellent foundation for our kiddos as they progress to other elementary schools and we couldn't be more grateful to have found this school. Thank you, Kinwest!!"
"My 2 year old goes to kinwest in the transitional 2s class. We have had a good experience so far, this was his first school experience and being born during COVID times he didn’t have much social interaction with other kids outside of family before starting. The staff made the transition to start school easy, and I’ve seen a difference in him already!"
"Our daughter has been attending Kinwest Montessori for over a year now. She started when she was two and we cant express how much she has learned within this past year. She had a home sitter prior to starting Montessori so we were definitely skeptical about trying out Kinwest based off the reviews. I do agree with a lot of the comments. They definitely don't have the best customer service. They aren't very friendly, both Mita and Ellen are very DIRECT but once you get past that they definitely have the best interest for your child. Ms. Nancy who is one of the lead teachers for Toddlers was absolutely AMAZING!! She is the reason we chose to go with Kinwest. We did a trial day with our daughter and Nancy made her feel so welcomed and comfortable. She never cried when she was being dropped off so that was a good sign for us. A year later she is thriving and has been moved up to a Primary Classroom. The school itself is a little outdated and honestly needs some remodeling compared to other Montessori schools in the area but overall we are very happy we chose Kinwest and our daughter is doing amazing!"
