"Drove 40 minutes to see this lady and arrived a bit late, but she wasn’t even done with her session that was before mine. It was my first time. i’m 18 and learning how to do things on my own, like filling out paperwork. I had to call my mom for a couple of things and Rhonda told me i needed to hurry up because we had limited time. This absolutely shocked me because every time i’ve been to a counciler, the first session is introductions and paperwork. Immediately after her telling me to hurry up, i felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. This lady is a councilor for crying out loud, these people help others for a living when they are having troubles in life. I went in there expecting to get the help i’ve been needed for so long. I have had it rough since August of last year and it’s really been hitting me lately and i get triggered very easily because i have been very emotional. My advice for Rhonda, you don’t know who is going to walk in those doors and you have no idea what they are going through. You need to learn to be sensitive and compassionate to people because your job is to make people feel comfortable and as if they are in a safe and welcoming environment. Do better next time."
