"As a parent the district can be so much better if they didn't go about promoting people stupidly without the proper experience. compassion for children, and actual work performance. I witnessed at DR. Garza several inconsistencies since the beginning of the school year. My kindergarten child was being bullied and hurt by another classmate and the issue was never addressed or resolved. As a parent we drop off our children thinking they are going to be in a safe environment. Teacher never advised us of the issues happening luckily my daughter was brave enough to speak up. My daughter was also forced to write lines in Ms Guzman's Kinder class because several classmates were not listening and I have evidence to prove this as she brought home a notebook with writing after school ended. Then couple months went by and my 2nd grade daughter (Trevino's) suddenly started shuffling substitutes, grades dropped, and no notification as to what was happening with her teacher or classroom setting. As a parent I asked for feedback from her school principal as her teacher was no longer responding class dojo. I was able to reach the principal via class dojo only to confirm that they had no teacher in her class and no telling of when she would be back. The only outcome to the problem that was offered by this principal was I can only place her in bilingual class. My daughter only speaks English wouldn't make sense to place her in bilingual to better her comprehension in subjects that will be taught in Spanish. So from October to end of school year she was taught by a substitute. I was never formally informed of my daughter having a substitute in writing. I rebuttled my daughters grades and even then her needs and classmates needs were not met. I was later informed by outside party that I can report this outcome to TEA."
"Excellent place to bring your children for a great education."
"This district lacks discipline in all staff and I mean ALL staff! I have witnessed students conduct themselves in a disrespectful, degrading manner on school district property. Superiors of this district do not conduct themselves in a professional manner so students believe it is okay to continue that unacceptable behavior. I have continued to witness the fraternize of all security with students. Those securities and all staff are to conduct themselves with the utmost highest standards in which students can mimic. All staff needs to up their game at this district. Neighboring Districts like Los Fresnos in which this District should want to mimic their code of rules, their board members don't back down on implementing the rules. Making sure teachers are performing to the highest standards, caring themselves with professionalism and most importantly all their students are of the utmost importance In which they make sure to stand together in seeing there students achieve in academics, not just sports. Went to the Halloween festival and It was disappointing on how our staff interacts with students. The district security act like children. Lines are being crossed, that is one reason students think it's ok to behave badly at schools, NO discipline or respect from their superiors. Did this district do a proper background check on all the security guards and are they all certified to be guards at a school district? What are the district's guidelines for hiring security, or staff in general? The new principal at San Benito high school has been told by the Board to tone it down NO, she doesn't need to tone it down you board members need to do your due diligence and support her so she can make your lazy teachers perform in teaching ALL-students to excel in academics. Not that your teachers leave early from work, one teacher loves to be flirting with students in which those students are skipping in that teacher's classroom. All You board members are to support/back our new high school principal in everything she has brought and is to bring to the table don't you tell her to tone it down YOU all do your job or resign! I'll be reminding all of you when running for board again. Just a reminder when you were running previously you had the time for every voter to hear them out and now you don't even pick up or return calls. You just attend board meetings and expect the working class to go at your convenience schedule FYI, the working class work, we perform! TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE, perform or FIRED"
