"Dr. Salazar is amazing and her precision is unmatched. Highly recommend her, she is the best in her field!"
"I keep writing a review and it never seems to get posted. She seems nice at first. But my first in person visit with her, I waited so long, the lights shut off on me. Then it happened again. We are talking over an hour and something wait. Then, after a total hysterectomy: I was asked, when was your last period? Then, what does your dad do? He’s dead. In the chart. Brain cancer. I’ve had to remember him longer than I knew him. Held back tears and no apology."
"Having found Dr. Salazar has been a gift in my life. After more than 15 years of a history of ovarian cysts and a tumors, I can say I have a vast experience with doctors and surgeries. And I never felt so acknowledge, respect and understood as with Dr. Salazar. These past months, after having hysterectomy as the recommended procedure, I visited 7 different doctors in Austin. I was absolutely open to do it, if that was the best solution. I did my own research, and truly took time to inquire all the possibilities; I was ready. But for me, a crucial piece was the doctor. Being foreigner and having my medical history in different languages always created a vague communication with the doctors, who briefly will overview the papers and then start talking; I always had the feeling that they really didn’t get the whole point, the whole history of what has been going on and specially my perspective as the patient; as a self-aware patient. And then I found Dr. Salazar, the first visit to Seton at UT was just amazing. Since I stepped into the clinics, all the staff was extremely helpful, welcoming willing to make me feel acknowledge as a patient. The new building is fantastic, and the atmosphere is peaceful and warm. The nurses and assistants where all kind and proactive. The first visit with her took more than one hour. She took notes of every single word I said, she kindly asked and was extremely mindful of all of my words. Paid such a close attention to my records, read them, checked the dates, truly listened to me. Everything with a sweet, respectful smile and empathy. Empathy, she operates though empathy. Afterwards, she took her time to share all her knowledge, her perspective. She is an extremely knowledgeable doctor. I could see how she is a health practitioner who navigates between research, academia, best medical practices, human intuition and sympathy. She is an expert in her field and with an extremally clear way, she explained me all the possibilities, the new research, all the options. We, together, agreed on a plan. She considered all the possibilities, she gave me several coherent options. I left that office feeling happy, in peace, more than ready. But my greatest experience was only starting; she kept an open communication with me via email, answered immediately my questions. Called days previous to my surgery, left me a voicemail that I shared with my family; to show them the amazing human been who was going to do the surgery. Dr. Salazar called me again to make sure I got the message. I felt so safe and in good hands, like never before; with all the experience in surgeries, I was never so confident. The staff from Seton UT called me several times, making sure I was ready. The pre op tests was another fantastic experience, they were all helpful, positive and proactive. The culture of customer service is tangible, I shared it with all my friends; it is the proof that human resources with great leadership is the strongest part of an organization. That hospital is the proof of that. The day of the surgery, she was there ahead of time, with that big smile, with that sweet way to treat me, to treat my mother. The whole surgery experience was completely different thank to her and the UT staff. So many people taking care of me, all of them taking the time to explain their role and procedure they were going to cooperate with. It was a successful surgery, she put all her knowledge (and yes, her love) for my health. Waited for me to wake up and explained me with all details what she did. I had a salpingo-oophoerctomy, so now she is taking care of my Hormonal Therapy Replacement. Still in open communication via email and I had in less than two weeks of the surgery, four calls on her behalf doing the follow up and making sure I´m doing fine. She is the combination of an extraordinary professional, knowledgeable and very aware of the last research in her field. But also, an amazing mindful woman, human being. My biggest gratitude for her work and for all the staff members of Seton Hospital at UT."
"Dr. Salazar is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She took her time to explain everything to me and really went above and beyond. I really appreciated her bedside manner, thoroughness, and calm/gentle presence."
"Dr. Salazar is great! She spent more time with me than any doctor I have ever had. She was so friendly and responsive and was able to describe things to me in detail without making me feel like a fool. I recommend her to all my friends!"
