"I went on two tugged flights with a master, first one got me 22 minutes of flight time no lift at all.. the second one we managed to catch a vvg thermal and it was an hour and 9 minutes before we landed. We were all the way up 9800ft in stil well wedged in the thermal from the greenhouse of tomatoes and he said we got to go down I have another customer."
"Not only is Burt Compton (proprietor) completely meticulous (what you want when entrusting your life to a pilot) but also a good teacher and interesting host. His crew (David in the tow plane, James on the ground) is personable and deeply experienced. Meanwhile, the territory lends itself to soaring, with decent if not dazzling thermals and stark, epic vistas of desert lands punctuated with remnants of volcanoes. Flying is not cheap but Burt and his team offer an excellent value and a massively personable experience."
