Dr Mac reviewed my blood work and made unassuming recommendations on cholesterol control medications. I chose to wait and he emphasized it was only a suggestion- no pressure. "Have had the worst care for 3 yrs from Dr. Mack. Zero follow up...zero compassion.... Horrible bed side manner he is "snarky" and VERY rude! I opted to go to a new cardiologist but have a 3 week waiting period before my 1st appointment with my new provider. I ran out of my blood thinner medication that I'm on, as I have a stent in my heart. This office refused to refill my medication today because Dr Mack got mad that I'm going to a new physician, and not staying as a patient with his practice. They wouldn't even give me a partial prescription to carry me over for the next 3 weeks until I can be seen by my new cardiologist. This is supposed to be "quality care" ??!!!!? I have no idea how this so called physician is still able to practice medicine! He doesn't deserve the one star I had to give him to leave this review! Anyone thinking of going here should absolutely RUN!!!!!! Your well being deserves far better! If ANYTHING should happen to me before I get in with my new provider.... I promise you this office will no longer be in business as I will make it my personal mission to ensure "Dr" Mack loses his license to practice medicine!"

My initial appointment was unrushed and went very well, he took the time to understand and document my background and family history and my medications and concerns. My recent follow up appointment went just as well. I felt Dr. Mack listens well and asks great questions. He is very knowledgeable about heart issues and takes a proactive approach toward heart disease prevention and risk management. He is also the first doctor I've seen to help me resolve my ongoing heartburn/acid-reflux issues and he has earned my confidence that he can help me improve my heart-health. My appointments with Dr. Mack has left me feeling good about; him as my heart doctor; Austin Heart; and the availability of excellent doctors right here in Georgetown Texas."
