Armelle Hair Braiding

"One star for her being nice. However, there were a multitude of issues and ultimately my money was wasted. I hate leaving bad reviews but the customers need to know! I wish I had known… Do not waste your time or money. She didn’t do the style I wanted. The braids were so tight that my scalp was pulsing and in pain. After one day my edges were already breaking because she did all the braids extremely tight and braided my edges instead of laying them. I had to take out the braids after just two days. This was done in her house and it was not a clean or organized environment. She used so many products and said she put glue to prevent my hair from growing! The whole point of protective styles is to let your hair grow! She said she provided hair but took forever trying to find it and had to stop about 3/4 in to find more hair, which took at least 10 minutes of her searching through a big filing cabinet full of bags thrown in there, because she was doing sooo many braids. For context I have a high undercut and she put more than enough braids for a full head of hair. It took her 45 minutes to get started after I arrived. And a good amount of that time was her talking to a client that showed up 5 min after me, going back and forth about which braid style she can do. I got there at 9 and didn’t leave til 2. I’m so disappointed. Time and money down the drain. I should have taken the first red flag (double booking when I have an appointment) and said no."

"Did my braids here. Even though the were nicely done, the pain and soreness of the sculp has been there for about 3 weeks, had to take some pain relief meds. I also do recommend the workers to undergo some customer care course because the lady who braided my hair was usually on the phone and was talking too loudly whilst doing my hair. I found it too unpleasant and disturbing."

"The woman that I dealt with she wanted to reschedule and I wasn't sure that I could. I called to tell her that I was able to make it; while she said I could come and I made it with time to spare she left and didn't come back until almost 1/2 hour later. When she started I can say that it we were in and out. The braids look very nice and professional all I will say is that if you don't say anything they will braid EVERYTHING all your baby hairs even the hair on back of your neck. They were tight and didn't loosen up til the day after and they are still pretty tight. They provide you with braiding hair which is included in the price but in limited colors."

"The BEST service for African Hair Braiding. The shop is nice and new and clean. Armelle is great at doing great hairstyles that help me to stand out and get lots of compliments. She's also very friendly and efficient. I got a very intricate hair style and it only took 3.5 hours with her....I've gone to other shops and it can take as long as 7 hours. Great service, great facility, great location and the prices are VERY reasonable. So when you're in need of braids, be sure to give Armelle a call."
