"This is not a school. There was no research based academic curriculum being used at the time my son attended the school. When I asked about it, I was told the school is not compensated by insurance for providing academic services. So why advertise yourself as a school? There seemed to be some discrepancies with billing for our case. It worked out to be the maximum you can bill my insurance, aside from planning hours,BCBA supervision, and direct instruction. When I asked about communicating how hours were billed, was told the practice is to "not burden parents". There was very poor communication from BCBA's to line therapists and every time my son got a new therapist, they got very little information about my son, so treatment was very inconsistent. My son had 4 different therapists in a 3 month period, so we experienced high turnover rates. My son eloped on several occasions, which is a hazard, despite being told of his history of elopement, which put him at risk. At the time of enrollment, we were told our ABA therapists (who did a wonderful at home program) would be allowed to observe and there would be transparency. Our experience was our therapist being asked to sign a non disclosure agreement, days after I started inquiring about the lack of curriculum. Our direct experience was overwhelmingly negative. We were looking for a school and were mislead into believing this was one. It is more accurately a day clinic, offering very limited academic curriculum. The three months my son wasted at this facility caused a direct and significant regression in his behavior. One of the owners harassed me and threatened to sue me over the content of this review."
