"this place is a great place for special needs kids. no kids feel left out and this school makes kids feel proud of them selves when they get good grades and it also helps kids improve thier grades if they get low grades. it has a dual language program witch is great. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!"

"Well where should I start? Let's start with the way this school handled a special needs child. How about my child got over 30 write ups and multiple suspensions at age 5 due to his special needs that were not handled appropriately. Instead of tending to my child's immediate needs of getting a 504 completed with more than enough paperwork to make it happen, they sat on their butts and sent my child home without getting my request of a 504 completed period even with a written request, and a email request completed that I was told to submit. I was also told that it costs more money than anyone wanted to spend to have a TA be in the classroom with my child, and Mr Koffman the principle at the time told me it was $120 daily to get a TA out to the school. Did I need to know this, no I did not. Nor did I need to be told that my child was the worst kid he had ever dealt with his entire 11 years he worked with kids. Ohhh, the nerve of a man who works in a elementary school with small children!! I do not condone my child's behavior by any means, however I disapprove of the treatment me and my son received at Perez Elementary School knowing that my child was in need of help. I did my part, but the school refused to get their end completed. This year my child was enrolled at Graham Elementary, and let me tell you how this school worked SO VERY HARD with my little one to get everything rolling no sooner than we entered the school day one. Perez only played the part where they deemed my child this and that on paper, and even added things that are not on ANY of the paperwork I was ever given from them. I think I will seek legal action against this school due to the lack of getting things done knowing that LEGALLY they were bound to comply with my requests, but never did. Seeking legal action........... :("
