Dr. Bhakta's journey to becoming a physician started in Zambia and eventually led her to Texas, where she pursued her education and training. She is the first in her family to graduate with a higher education and the first physician in her family. Dr. Bhakta completed her medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Missouri in Kansas City.

In addition to her expertise in minimally invasive surgery using the DaVinci Robotic System, Dr. Bhakta offers contraceptive counseling and treats a variety of gynecological issues including uterine bleeding, infertility, endometriosis, PCOS, and high-risk pregnancies. She is passionate about providing early gynecological care for adolescent girls and young women to promote confidence and empowerment in their healthcare journey.

Outside of work, Dr. Bhakta enjoys staying active with activities like sand volleyball, tennis, and running. She also has a love for Thai food, binge-watching Netflix shows, and spending quality time with her husband, David. Dr. Bhakta is fluent in Gujarati and conversational in Hindi.
