"He delivered my son 13 years ago now. During my pregnancy he missed a protein deficiency in my blood I kept trying to inform him about it every time I went for a visit - he only listened when my mother flew in for the birth and told him then.. within minutes I was being tested and given blood thinning injections for 3 months!! I should have been on them my entire pregnancy and since the condition can cause miscarriage my child was a bit of a miracle baby! (I believe it was a genuine miscommunication - I am British and it’s likely called something different there vs in the USA) Other than that Dr Storts was very kind and professional helping me with various issues during the pregnancy. Queue wasn’t always great but if he’s needed at the hospital they can’t do much about that! SO many ultrasounds as I measured small but was carrying larger than average - fine by me! Sometimes a little condescending and he kind of swaggered in at the last second during delivery - the nurses did all the work! He didn’t respect my wishes to not have an episiotomy but the birth was successful, I had a healthy baby at the end and the recovery wasn’t too bad. The aftercare was fantastic too! So while mixed feelings, I don’t feel let down or upset by how it all happened."
"Great OB!! He delivered my son and was my regular gynecologist. He allowed me to ask as many questions as I wanted and made sure that I understood everything being that this was my first child. I got preeclampsia at the last minute and I freaked out but he reassured me everything would be fine. He made my delivery and my 5 day stay afterwards everything I needed."
"Dr. Storts is great! He is always nice and he never makes me feel like he’s rushing during my visit. The one thing that stands out with me is that he washes his hand before any procedure and I think that is important. He allows you to ask questions and explains everything. He’s smart and cares. It appears he loves what he does. His RN is always nice and she return calls fast, she also answers any questions I have."
"The office is slow as hell if u have other things to do Dont go hear cuz they take their sweet ass time about everything"
"Omega and Dr. Storts are the kind of practice and doctor you're used to hearing about! I was so confused as a first time pregnant woman by all the women I knew and even saw on TV who would just go to their Dr. for every little thing during their pregnancy. I kept wondering how can they afford that??? Then I learned that Women's Health Services (where I had been going for two years) is NOT patient focused but MONEY focused. It cost me $60 under Cigna co-pay just to get into Dr. Puffer's office at Women's Health at Memorial and $50 to my deductable when my appointments became prenatals. No matter what I was there for, a single question or a long meeting with her, a sono, always charged $50 while I was pregnant. Then under Blue Cross low premium high deductable Women's Health office manager told me it would now be $800 each time. Yes, eight HUNDRED. I was freaking out, I knew I had to go once a month and then every other week in the 7/8 months and then every week during the final stent, how could I afford that! Here I was mid second trimester and I am having to change doctors, I was so stressed out. I went to Omega and they were very confused by my onslaught of billing questions about just seeing the Dr. My first appointment I had a sono and it was $100 when the bill came (Blue Cross bills by mail) I thought that meant ALL my appointments sono or no sono would be $100 like I was used to with Women's Health. I was still stressed because $100 is a lot especially when you have to go so many times when you're pregnant! But as I kept seeing Dr. Storts I was confused as to why I wasn't being charged anything anymore. My one sono was $100 but all my monthly visits just to see him and have him listen to the heart beat and for me to give a urine sample I was not getting a bill for. I kept checking my mail and no bills only lab bills for the urine samples but nothing for seeing the Dr. Since Blue Cross bills via mail I was never asked to pay anything when checking out at Omega so I kept biting my nails and waiting for all these bills for my monthly prenatals to one day show up but none came. Finally I got to the truth of it and talked to Blue Cross. Omega does NOT bill for me to see the Dr for 10-15min for him to listen to the heart beat, check my weight, hear my concerns and for me to give urine. All they bill for is what the lab charges to process the urine, that's it! I can go see him anytime I think something's off with my pregnancy and I am not charged. When I see him every week during the last stent of my pregnancy it still won't cost me, except lab fees and sonos if I need anymore. I was terrified how much this would all cost but all I pay for is lab fees and they are LOW and for sonos and it's $100 each and there's not that many. This is a real practice and real Dr who cares about YOU and NOT your wallet!"
