"So you go to find gluten-free and vegan product. And there is no section separate section for that kind of food. When you go on the website, you find the product but it doesn't tell you where in the store In which aisle you can find them."
"They are the best! I wish I could list them all by name but, of course, when I want to I go blank. I've been going here for years and can't imagine going anywhere else for my drugs. And, I get all my vaccines there and have never felt one of them. I'm an old RN and I know how badly people can give injections. They really are great."
"It's possible the time of day is a factor as we showed up 30 mins before they closed but I've never had people watch me like that in the self checkout line. It was very uncomfortable. The manager even came ..sat next to where we were checking out and watched us. Who's going to steal 200 dollars worth of groceries? If you have an issue with self checkout then how about you have some of your regular lanes open instead of having 4 people stand around us while we're checking out. I have come to this store before and had no issues but this was the latest. If you are a person of color.... Don't shop here if you don't want to be watched like a criminal."
"Every time I come here there are products weeks or months passed the expiration date, products that clearly have gone bad, damaged products, produce that has gone bad, etc. It’s literally a job to make sure everything I buy from here is not going to potentially make me sick, and even so I’m still nervous to eat anything that requires refrigeration here. At this point I no longer buy food from this store and have to travel an extra mile to Aldi. The store also is weirdly hot for a grocery store which definitely contributes to produce going bad. The store consistently has a sour smell as well. It stinks that this store is the only one I have reasonable access to. For some specific examples. I have included photos of two products I saw in the 5 minutes I was in the store. A bulging hummus from bacteria growth that isn’t even passed the expiration date. And another, different brand, hummus that was so damaged it was leaking. I don’t even understand how this doesn’t violate health codes to consistently put your customers at risk for eating products that have gone bad from time, damage, or lack of refrigeration."
"While shopping at the Jewel today, I saw tomatoes covered in mold, ground beef being sold past the sell by date, and while they did have plenty of 1% milk, every single one had a best-by date two days from now. Did I get everything on my list today? Technically yes. Did I buy many perishable items today? Hell no. These sorts of things have become fairly commonplace at this location. Also, don't trust any fish sold here, especially if it's in the front specials cooler."
