"It's under New Ownership and is already going downhill. The mail post is no longer open and is shut down until further notice. Only 1 person at the register tonight vs the usual 2 people extend line wait time and will continue unless a second person is hired."
"I live a block away from foodsmart and used to frequently go for any last minute ingredients or a late night snack. However ever since the new ownership came in the store has gone way downhill. The prices are super high and are constantly fluctuating . That would be fine in exchange for convenience and good quality groceries but the produce is consistently nearly molded if not outright rotten and, the selection is constantly changing so you can’t count on something being there the next week you go. The USPS drop off has now closed and they no longer take EBT. Essentially everything that made the store a convenient is gone and you can’t even count on a fair price for the disappointing items they carry. At this point it’s nothing more than a glorified liquor store."
"As of 1/2024 the post office is still closed. Convenient location and good selection, they even have chicken and ground beef and some vegetables. However, prices are high so you pay for the convenience. To the owners: please update the automated message. When I called, the automated message stated that the post office is open 24 hours."
"This place used to be an incredible spot for late night snacks and booze with such a wide variety of both. However, a recent change of ownership has caused a massive downgrade. They are consistently out of stock of many popular items and no longer accept EBT."
"Best usps drop off in Chicago, I run a full time small business and drop off a huge amount of packages here. I also buy myself a vegan treat and hard seltzer. This place is where I go 90% of the time. They have never lost a package! The actual post office has a worse track record"
