"I have been at this school from kindergarten to the eighth grade and I can say that this school raised me. It was like my second home. The teachers care about their students success very much. The one thing that I don’t like is the vice principal for middle school. She doesn’t like it when students socialize because she says school is for studying only, and socializing is for another place. I disagree because some people aren’t good at making friends. It is a very small school but it’s a wonderful place. But if you have a problem don’t tell the vice principal, it won’t help anything :p"

"We went through 3 schools before finding EKHLA and so thankful we did. The teachers are kind but firm. The academics are the best we found in San Antonio though coming from a top 3 state in the nation for education we had more stringent requirements. I feel math could be more advanced but nothing a little Kumon and home instruction can’t fill in. They expect good behavior from the kids and the structure has been wonderful for our ADHD child. They don’t have a nurse on staff, but so far has not been an issue. The teachers went above and beyond during home instruction with covid. Zero issues with bullying or any none sense like that. Wish there were more clubs for the smaller kids as my child would love to do chess. The kids progress quickly on learning Hebrew. Always a blessing to have additional languages in a skillset. Will be sad to leave once we PCS to our new duty location."

"We were so excited to attend this school. Our kids could not wait to start the year at a new school as well. After the first month of the year, they recognized our oldest was having trouble with math, and during parent teacher conferences they told us the would implement an ‘extra help’ program for him. It never happened, and we constantly asked what and when would they be doing that for him. Now that it is the end of the year, after Covid, they failed both of our children for what they said was minimal parent communication!? We attended parent teach conferences throughout the year, how? Terrible excuse to fail our children, not going to be going back."

"The curriculum is challenging and our child's teacher was very attentive, communicated regularly and engaged with us as we requested. We think that she was wonderful The administration and let me be specific, the principal, demonstrated regularly her disdain for anyone or any child that may blemish her campus and record. During the first week of school for a new Kinder student she said to family members. "I don't want to know what your family problems are, I just don't want them to become mine". In any of her interaction with me, she never smiled or demonstrated concern for our child in her care. Our child was injured twice on campus during their after school program. We did not receive a single report or piece of documentation despite that fact that they had received medical treatment in the office or from the nurse. If you are an outsider do not expect to be welcomed into their little clique."

"I have to give EKHLA five stars! My kids have been attending school here for 5 and 4 years respectively. EKHLA administration and staff have always been kind/supportive of my children's needs. I always recommend EKHLA to parents that want an amazing school to send their kids to."
