"This school is simply the best! There are a multitude of educational options in San Antonio but we remain at St. Gregory because the environment is what we feel is best for our children. From academics rooted in faith to campus safety, we are extremely confident in the teachers, staff, and administration. They simply care about my daughters as if they were their own."
"The school has helped my daughter grow in her education. The teachers are caring and dedicated. The show compassion and patients to all the students. The faculty are equally amazing. We feel safe and at home at St. Gregory the Great Catholic School."
"StG is our home. We love the community, the staff, and the faith based education they provide. My kids feel safe and academically challenged all while having fun. My children are “in person learners,” and I am amazed by the safety measures they take to ensure everyone on campus is safe. We’ve been a part of this caring and supportive community for 7 years and counting. What brought us here was their reading program. My kindergarten was very behind in speech and I was extremely worried he was going to fall even more behind in reading as well. Even though he was receiving speech therapy, I believe the work they do with their reading program has played a huge part in my kindergartner’s huge success! The difference between August and now (March) is like night and day! He reads with ease, and his speech is so clear! I no longer see the struggles in his little face. I love how we can come to the staff with any concerns you may have and leave with a plan in place to help our children/family grown. My fifth grader struggles in Math, it’s just not her subject, StG takes that extra time to make sure she fully understands! Tutoring during school hours and after school hours if needed! That’s dedication to success for a student! They definitely don’t have that “oh well try harder” and push you to the side, they are more of “let rolls up our sleeves and work to succeed.” This goes in all aspects of our community; weather its a child struggling academically, financial struggles, behavior struggles. They take the time to do everything in their power to help the family as a whole. If you’re looking for a family based atmosphere, a dedicated staff and a great catholic based education, StG is the place for you. I am grateful God led us here!"
"St. Gregory the Great is our home. The faculty and staff go above and beyond to help our children reach their full potential. The curriculum is challenging and fun for the kids. Safety is of the utmost importance and they go above and beyond to keep the kids safe in all aspects from safety issues to health issues. St. G is one of the best choices we have made for our family and highly recommend it! We are blessed to call this our community!"
"Was not a good fit for my children. We paid well over $18,000 in tuition for a substandard education experience. Books were old, desks don't match in the classroom, most of the teachers aren't credentialed. My 2 kids were A/B students until we enrolled them at St. Gregory, that year both of them failed Math and English. In my opinion, the teachers here were pretty bad. Just because they may have a Master's Degree in their field does not mean they are good teachers. There is also unfair treatment of different children. The kids who have been at St. G since grade school were treated better than any new enrollments...again my opinion. I feel like most of the money we paid for tuition went to the Church and not back into the school. There are many better options for Catholic Schools in San Antonio. St. Gregory is not the great school it used to be. Don't waste $18,000 learning it the hard way like I did."
