"We enjoyed walking the paved path around Schafer park. We especially enjoyed the prairie portion with a variety of blooming native prairie flowers which were visited by a variety of butterflies and birds eating the seeds of others including a flock of gold finches. Other amenities include: playground, pavilion, and SEASONAL restrooms. In Winter 2024, the playground is under construction."
"Nice little park. Some nice equipment to play on and enough benches for parents. Close to daughter's home. Has restrooms too."
"Nice park. Playground has some exposed metal, some rusty, and could use some paint, it still looked safe when I visited."
"Decent park. Google maps made it seem easy to get to, but you need to drive around in the neighborhood. Go south of 94 one exit and make a left. There are signs so you shouldn't get (too) lost. Shelter and bathroom available with a large grassy area."
"It's a beautiful park that is hidden behind a neighborhood. We kept thinking the GPS was crazy. The playground is small but sufficient. There is a nice pavilion that was being used for a birthday party. There is also a nice paved walking trail. The parking is limited and with the birthday party it got really crowded. Nice place for a quick picnic."
