"Coming from NISD I was very weary. The school itself is very beautiful. However, because its new, they nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING. At a more established school, shirts, field trips ect are way less! The teachers would request you send in food and supplies PLUS additional money for parties ect. Money was asked for constantly towards the end of the year. The teachers my children had were AMAZING. My kiddos really learned a lot. However, the office staff are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. They always seem annoyed when "helping you." They do the bare minimum and are very unprofessional. My children begged me not to go back to Dozier this year. I didnt want them to have to change schools, but due to all listed above, and their request, we are transferring to another school with in the district. Hopefully one with a more cheerful atmosphere."
