"I had been to Lisa’s when it was on Camp Wisdom and it was good. Today was my first time going to the Red Bird location. The food was good and you get your moneys worth. Your meal comes with a dessert and 20 oz beverage under $20 for majority of the dinners. Must say I had never had smothered RIBS!! Now them joints were off the chain, the chess pie and kool aid! The other items were good/ decent. The line and the service was absolutely ridiculous. I stayed in the line for exactly one hour. The workers def do not have a sense of urgency. The line at SGB moves faster than that. I will go again but not on a Sunday unless it’s at the crack of dawn."

"If you’re in search for some GOOD soul food, this is you’re place to go! Look no more. I never had oxtails before and fell in love. So tender it falls right off the bone and seasoned to perfection! The price is high though unfortunately. I also got greens, Mac n cheese n black eyed peas and absolutely nothing was dissatisfying, it was ALL on point! Highly suggest this place!!!"

"One of the best soul food spots in Dallas. I’ve been going here for years. I usually always get the oxtails and over the years, the price has gone up which is to be expected but they’re well worth it. Their food has so much flavor and you can’t go wrong with whatever you get. The only thing that I can say is just ok is their cakes. Their banana pudding is delicious and so is their koolaid. Seriously, go here and you won’t be disappointed."

"This place brought back some great memories of living in the south. The staff is so sweet and polite. The food is heart and tummy warming. My favorite was the pork chop. Juicy and full of flavor. Don't skip the mac n cheese! You'll be so sorry. I'm definitely going to come back to try the chicken next time."
