Reviews of The Apron Kitchen + Bar
"Hidden gem. No one knows this is here. It’s the bottom floor at the Omni. Had the bruschetta for app and bolognese sauce pasta. Great food and service today. Great place for friends to get together and make new friends."
"Dined here while staying at the Omni during the “Home on the range” Christmas celebration. Enjoyed two delicious flatbreads and the Cesar salad. Both the pepperoni and mushroom flatbreads were delicious and the lettuce on the Caesar was as fresh as it could be."
"Nestled in the heart of Frisco, Texas, The Apron at the Omni Resort offers an unforgettable dining experience that combines gourmet cuisine, picturesque surroundings, and a touch of unexpected kindness. As avid food enthusiasts and Frisco locals, my partner and I recently embarked on a culinary adventure to The Apron, and our journey was nothing short of extraordinary. A Memorable Stroll and a Random Act of Kindness One sunny afternoon, we decided to walk over to The Apron from our house, eager to indulge in some delectable dishes. The scenic route was delightful, but halfway through our journey, an unexpected twist awaited us. A cheerful golf cart driver offered us a ride, which not only spared us from a 20-30 minute walk but also left us touched by the kindness of strangers. This random act of generosity set the tone for our entire visit and made us even more excited about our dining experience. A Feast Fit for Foodies Upon arriving at The Apron, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming ambiance. The restaurant's rustic yet elegant décor created a perfect backdrop for the culinary delights that awaited us. We had quite an appetite, so we may have over-ordered, but every dish was a revelation of flavor. We kicked off our gastronomic journey with the Butcher's Board, a delightful assortment of cheese and charcuterie paired with citrus-marinated olives and lavosh crackers. The combination of flavors and textures on the board was a testament to the chef's attention to detail and commitment to using high-quality ingredients. One dish that stole the spotlight was the Champignons, a heavenly creation featuring taleggio, wild mushrooms, prosciutto, arugula, and truffle. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, and the earthy aroma of truffle lingered in the air, leaving us craving for more. It quickly became my favorite, and I couldn't help but savor every bite. Another delightful surprise was the grilled chicken kebabs served with vegetable couscous and herb yogurt. The chicken was tender and succulent, perfectly complemented by the fragrant couscous and refreshing yogurt sauce. It was a dish that balanced indulgence with freshness, and we relished every forkful. A Dining Experience to Remember What sets The Apron apart is its commitment to excellence. The restaurant's dedication to providing a memorable dining experience is evident in every aspect, from the attentive service to the carefully curated menu. As of the time of this article, there is no dress code at The Apron, allowing diners to choose whether they want to dress up for a special occasion or keep it casual for a relaxed evening out. For those interested in exploring the menu further or making reservations, you can find more information on The Apron's official website: The Apron at Omni Resort Frisco. However, I recommend checking the website for the most up-to-date information on hours of operation, as they may vary depending on the season. A Slice of History As we savored our sumptuous meal at The Apron, we couldn't help but wonder about the history of this charming establishment. While details may vary, the Omni Resort in Frisco is a part of a larger development that includes a PGA golf course and other amenities, making it a sought-after destination for both travelers and locals. This resort is not only a place to stay but also a culinary haven where The Apron stands as a testament to fine dining in Frisco. In Conclusion As the sun set over Frisco, we couldn't help but reflect on our memorable dining experience at The Apron. It's a place where foodies can indulge in exceptional dishes, where strangers can brighten your day with an act of kindness, and where the ambiance is as inviting as the cuisine. So, whether you're a local looking for a special night out or a traveler seeking a taste of Frisco's culinary scene, The Apron is a destination that promises to leave you with a smile and a satisfied palate. #lifeafteradulting #theapron #pgafrisco #omnipga"
"I came to the Omni PGA resort in Frisco Texas for a conference and decided to grab a quick bite at The Apron when my plans at the pool got derailed by the bar being unexpectedly closed. I ordered a burger and fries and they were quite good. The restaurant was not busy but the few that were there looked happy and my waitress was excellent though I cannot recall her name at the moment. Will I be back? I certainly don’t plan to return unless there is an event I need to attend. But if you are in the area, give this place a try. It’s better than the other options around.
