"We were seated immediately. There was one full table and another outside. We waited about 30 minutes for drinks. I ordered taco salad. It was so soggy with grease. The shell was not crunchy. The waitress was rude and didn’t check on us once. The restroom was disgusting and there was something sticky on the floor. Would never recommend this location. The El Maguey in Ballwin is so much nicer and better quality."

"Martin and his crew are just exceptional! Been going there for over 20 years since moving to Affton. The food is always fresh and tasty and your drink glass is always full. Your servers are always friendly and attentive. Give them a try, you won't be sorry. Always a good time with great atmosphere!"

"This is a regular staple in our families diet but since COVID this place has gone down hill with their food. Today was the absolute worst experience I've had there. Don't order the fried chicken salad. Was Dyno bites cut up in lettuce, nothing else. Ive got to say they didn't charge us for my meal and also let me order something different. But overall a disappointing dinner on a holiday weekend"

"We have been going to El Maguey since the 90’s. Consistently, hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in St. Louis. My normal go to is tostadas or chicken taco salad. Last night I tried something new, tamales. Delightful! Space is beautifully decorated and staff more than kind. ❤️"
