"Place was ok. Had the shrimp nachos. The cheese sauce was very good but the onions, peppers and nachos were bland. Kind of funny how they seat people. They seat the younger people in the front and put the older customers in the back. Nothing "wrong" with that and I see how it works, but odd nonetheless. Had to sit by a group of older men talk politics the entire time. Anyway probably a one time visit. Nothing stood out to make me come back."

"Have been with my partner 3 times now and each time it was amazing!! We are vegetarian and have never had an issue with our orders here (that’s more uncommon than one might think, but not here!) The margs are delicious and the music will keep ya dancing in your seat. Service was amazing every time"

"Easily one of the top three Mexican restaurants in South City. Chips are thin and crispy, salsa is full of fire roasted tomatoes (not the ketchup-like stuff in some places). Signature margarita with real lime juice is worth the price tag. Carnitas burrito is stuffed full of goodness and is easily two meals."

"This was our first time at El Catrin. It was easy to find the handicapped parking behind the restaraunt. Our waiter was very helpful and gave great service. We ordered a regular margarita and fajita tres amigos. The food was fantastic! It was a lot of food. We had to bring some home. It was a beautiful day for a dinner out on their big patio."

"There’s a ton of Mexican places in South City. It seems like a new one pops up every week! But THIS ONE really stood out! Completely renovated, spacious and beautiful/super modern! You can tell they put a lot of thought in their redesign. Our server on Saturday for lunch was attentive and friendly and helped me pick something out that I loved. I always judge a Mexican place on their chips and salsa since that comes first…wow! The cheese dip was no disappointment either! The food was absolutely amazing - portions are so large this was my lunch and my dinner that day (I got a burrito). We will definitely be making this a regular stop! Thanks for standing out!"
