"I purchased a Supermicro 865 Watt 80-Plus Power Supply. 8 days after receiving it, my tech realized that this item was not needed. I requested a refund for the un-opened item. They told me 50% restock fee. Their website return policy states 25-50% restock fee. I asked why they were charging me 50% for an unopened item, as opposed to 25%. Matt in Customer Support said, "because some of our stock is vendor stock and we will be bearing the entire loss." I reminded him that the item is unopened and in the same condition as I received it. He would not budge, stating, "yes its unopen I totally understand but as per the policy this is the only solution". So I resold it on eBay for the same price I paid!"
