Reviews
"I rarely write reviews, but Mike is worth writing about! Mike is passionate about quality and ensuring that the work completed by FCI is well above the standard of any other flooring company. He personally went out of his way on many occasions to make installing new floors easy and exciting. In addition to Mike, the father/son team that completed the installation was the absolute BEST! They were such great guys and accommodating to any request. They also worked seamlessly with the other contractors to coordinate installation and I didn't have to get involved at all. Overall, I could not be happier with the final product and the process to get there. I would 100% use FCI for all my flooring projects going forward."
"I would seriously consider another company. I have been going back and forth with this company for more than a year after the initial installation. The Vinyl flooring is a very poor quality. They have replaced in full once and tried to get out of it the first time by blaming the moisture content of the concrete. After arguing with them about it they finally agreed to replace the floor. I had to remove all of the furniture a second time in order for this process to happen again. The funniest part of this is I purchased Water Proof Vinyl flooring for the basement in case of water. The company they purchase from is Shaw Industries Inc. who is looking for any possible reason to not cover their terrible product. I installed the Lifeproof brand from HomeDepot 5 years ago in our utility room (Almost half the price of the terrible floor coverings international flooring). This floor has taken so much abuse I can't believe that it has held up. I had a motor stand with full weight on the floor for 3 months and the floor didn't come apart or even dimple. This floor from Floor Coverings international has a desk chair with silicone wheels on it that gets used maybe once every other week. The floor keeps popping and separating at the corners. During the initial replacement they assured me it had nothing to do with this chair, it was the water content in the concrete! So now here comes round 2 and NOW its the chair! If you would have said it was the chair in round 1 why wouldn't I purchase the $40 protector mat for the chair?! Floor Coverings International knows nothing about what they are talking about. They don't know their product and all of their work is subbed out to contractors who would charge you a small fraction of what this company is charging. I used them because I didn't have the time to do it myself and I wanted a high quality so I spent a little more than I should have. I have nothing but regret. Let move on to style. Mike came over and talked me into doing our landing in the same Ash color as we did our basement in. Our door is a darker Walnut color and our upstairs is golden oak. I asked if he was sure because it sounded like a lot of colors in one area. He said that the Ash would neutralize the other colors and he thought it would blend nicely. After it was installed I immediately knew it was a bad choice, it looked terrible. The installer even made a comment about it. Mike agreed to replace it for the cost of just the material. He said he would go with wood product, thats the only way we could get it to match. I asked him about the durability of it by the front door and how the expansion and contraction with the temperature changes would effect the floor. He said he has had nothing but a positive experience with this flooring. This flooring was a terrible choice, it is so soft that a womans high heal can dimple the floor. They just have no experience with the product and have no real ability to make suggestions but will do so anyway. Go find a small trustworthy company to do the work. Save your money. I am so disappointed and feel like I have no recourse. It's a real shame. They did do a good job with the carpet... Later found out that it was 1.5x the amount I should have actually paid."
"I had 5 rooms of oak floors with damage so severe that wood had to be replaced. Floor Coverings International gave me an exact estimate, an exact date when the work would be started and finished. They arrived on time, moved my furniture and totally covered any exposed cabinetry etc. in plastic. The quality of the job they did on my floors is amazing. I am so happy that I asked them to come back and redo the rooms that weren’t damaged. They are always reachable by call or text to answer any questions. When they left my house was cleaner than before they started. They truly are one of those rare companies that does what they promise, when they promise and care that you are left happy having dealt with them."
"FCI replaced the floors on the second floor of our house. The installation process was well done, and they did a fine job. The new floors look beautiful! They did come back and repair a few minor things that happened during installation and took the time to make sure that we were happy with the final product."
