"This store is a hot mess. I managed to snag a few interesting things, but it would literally take you days to sort through all the incoherent piles of records. Highly disorganized and random. No pricing on the records, so you're at the mercy of what the owner thinks it is worth. If you love to plunder in tight spaces and really work for your finds, this is your place. Otherwise, you will get frustrated pretty quickly."
"Cluttered, hot, dusty, disorganized, no prices on anything, owner treats you like you're there to steal records not peruse them. I agree with what everyone else here says. So much wasted potential. Music was made for sharing and enjoying, not hoarding in silence. I wish this owner the best of luck with his business but I won't be coming back. As a lifelong record collector, musician, and DJ this place is just too sad to me. I'm sure none of the people that recorded these records imagined their work would end up like this."
"The place has all the possibilities of being a record collectors dream; unfortunately, the situation is far from that. The proprietor, or at least the gentleman who is running the place has a little knowledge of records and the values. I asked him to inspect a record for me, he hands it back, and says “it’s a totally clean record”; I knew the item was trashed- I just wanted to check his knowledge. I looked up the value of the record on my cell phone and asked him what was the price. He threw out a ridiculous figure, and I asked him how do you justify that price. He turns to me and says well it’s 28 years of experience. Be very careful of what you buy if you are a serious collector, this place will burn you on price and quality"
"This place is a total gem. I wasn’t expecting to find it when visiting the antique mall. Walking in you’re greeted with shelves upon shelves of vinyl and the walls are covered in vintage memorabilia. The place would definitely take a few days to look through everything, but you’ll absolutely find some hidden gems in the stacks. The shop itself is a tight squeeze. You may have to side step to get through some aisles. It’s located on the third floor of a very old building, it being in Texas and with heat rising, the place is pretty hot. None of this can really be helped. The shop owner Mr. Will was incredibly nice. Given the space he was tucked away in the back, so I didn’t notice he was even there at first til he greeted me. Once I had the vinyls I was ready to purchase, I made my way to him and he priced each one for me, explaining why he priced them each way. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about each vinyl I brought to him, and even showed me some cool memorabilia he had tucked away. Mr. Will is great conversation if you have the time. The prices were pretty high but nothing I considered worthy to cry home about. They were actually pretty on par from what I found online, the few I purchased that were more expensive than online prices weren’t too far off, but I also take online pricing with a grain of salt in consideration of worth since they fluctuate so much. All in all, would 100% be coming back. The thousands of records in there, topped with Mr. Will’s enthusiasm made for a wonderful experience."
"This shop is located on the third floor of an antique shop on Broadway so when you visit plan on spending a good part of the day looking around. I've been here several times and I am always amazed at how many records are in this store/museum. It is literally wall to wall boxes of records of all genres. It's easy to become overwhelmed by the amount. This is a great place to come to to find lesser known albums, spoken word or oddity record. Overall great record shop."
