Olivo Taco - Belvidere

"The food was okay. Little flavor, in the steak tacos, which was surprising because their taco trucks steak tacos are amazing! There was also a lot of chewy bits as well."

"I called on the phone to order for pickup and asked if I could pay when I got there because I wasn't paying with my card. A man said yes and it would be ready in 7 minutes. When I got there to pay he told me that because I didnt pay yet they didnt make my food. I explained that someone told me I could pay when I got there and he said thats not how it worked. So I told him not to make it now and left. Really mean dude."

"I’ve never had their food but December 25th, 2022 l was door dashing they forgot to turn off their app sue being closed for the holiday. I received a dash that late morning, I got to the restaurant walked up to the door and turned the knob and it was unlocked, lights were off, no sign saying they were closed for the holiday. I stopped at the door yelled inside saying hello anyone in here closed the door let door dash know and proceeded to call the Belvidere police department, I sat for almost an hour waiting for them to show so they wouldn’t get ransacked by someone due to the doors not being secured. I lost an hour of pay and not one owner reached out to say thank you. Obviously they don’t care that some people care about stores in the community. I wouldn’t eat here they are ungrateful"

"La Pasadita (an EXCELLENT choice nearby) was closed Wednesday, so I sought an alternative. Gomez Restaurant had lighted signs, but their door was locked. Next choice was Olivo. What a mistake! Kinda dirty, all around. Very limited menu. Their elote “Fiesta Bowl was a huge disappointment, served in a tiny styrofoam carryout box. Chips were almost dark brown. Only bottled drinks. Checkout girl was marginally pleasant. Overall, VERY disappointing!"

"Tried the 3 veggie tacos, 3 fish tacos, and order of guacamole and chips. Veggie tacos were okay, but shells were really greasy. Did not care for fish tacos. Guacamole I liked. Had some heat and nice lime finish. The chips were horrible. Tasted very stale and were big pile of grease. Not returning. Much better options in area."
