"UPDATE: Within an hour of posting my review, I received a call from whom I believe to be Tiffany J asking for our daughter & offering to come here to redo her hair. As our daughter was already heading to prom and fotos were over, etc. I declined but very much appreciated the kind offer. She apologized and said she would refund our money or redo her hair for graduation/another coming even. I said if she decided to refund our money to let the stylist keep the tip for her time. Re; getting a redo, I said I would ask my daughter and that I really appreciated her time & generosity. Soon after I received a text from the stylists, apologizing and refunding our money. Wow.... that was not expected but very much appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First off... this salon has such great reviews.. I really thought that I would be adding to the list of awesomeness. We were SUPER excited to go and were really looking forward to it. Well... unfortunately none of this is the case. I have to say the place is extremely clean and stylish/nicely appointed. Very comfy and bright. I called ahead to book an appointment for my daughter's hair for prom. My first question was.. about how long does it take... Was told 2hrs tops- the wash, dry & style. All in all... we were in there for 2 1/2 hours...Not sure if the stylist is always so quiet, laidback and unenthused? which took away from the joy of the experience of getting your hair done for a very special occasion. Had the results been amazing/what was asked that it would have been still worth it. We shared pictures of a very smooth, modern, simple updo... how it was 'interpreted' as a heavily curled, stacked, frizzy mess?! Seriously? When she started curling her hair.. I went over was like 'oh your are curling it?" Figured she was going to brush them out/use it to hold the shape better. My daughter wears glasses and couldn't see what was going on back there. I tried not to breath down the stylist neck & give her some space... but as I looked over.. all I saw was her working on the back, pinning it up... When when I went over again.. and saw that she was finishing it up and that 'that WAS the style" I started to ask questions and see about what we can do to change it.. She said that "it was set" and no changes could be made :-0 At that point the other woman had had color sitting on her hair for 45mins. I didn't know what to do at that point!!?? So I paid her & walked out...YES like an idiot! Our daughter was in disbelief. All she ever talked about as a little kid was prom... b/c of Covid...almost didn't have one.. now she gets to have an abbreviated version of one.. and she has has this on top of her head. We are both frustrated & full of regret. Again... I hate hate leaving such a review... Believe me... I want nothing more than to walk out of there happy, on air and come home to write a different review...You can take a look at the fotos yourself. You be the judge."
