"Head manager likes to hound you like she's mad at the world for her career choice. She has bad manners and will tell her negative opinion about you to her coworkers ( even the young twenty something's) Makes you feel like if you're using your senses and brain to take the time to choose your products like looking around and being aware, she has something to single you out for. The deli is dirty, food in the showcase is crusted around the edges and dingy looking. Prices are not anything to bring up praise for. Too many drinks in the drink aisle while not focusing on better produce. Needs better management that knows how to talk to people , she can't do it with her customers, so how is her chief executive boss going to learn from her. She's a bad example to the community."
"Overall, the drive to a different store is worth the trip The owner seems more and more like a con the more time that goes on. I got a head of lettuce the night before a gathering, by the next morning it was rotting and horrible. Same thing with meat, looking at dates many are past expiration. Then there is the "surcharge fee". At the bottom of every receipt when you check out, they add a 2% fee to the order just cause. The owner did this and claims it is because of the market, but the prices have already been adjusted up to match. You will probably save more money with the fees and costs than the cost of gas to get to a different store"
"I'll admit, a nearby grocery store is nice, but their prices prove that they know they are the only choice. Very friendly people, but I constantly find expired meat still in the fresh meat cooler. Produce is very often past their selling point. Prices at register are often not what they are marked at and if you're not watching, you'll end up overpaying. Most times, I understand a limited selection, but fresh bagged spinach seems to be a no-brainer to have instead of 3 varieties of 50/50 salad mix. Overall, it's good to have the store here, but it's definitely in need of work and I only go if I REALLY don't want to drive a few more minutes to Pec or Monroe."
"This store is the closest to where I live so I shop there. The produce Department needs a lot of work I find rotten fruits and vegetables there very often. but they have very good broasted chicken they're friendly and it's a small store so I know where everything is I can get in and out of there very quickly. they have the best meet in the area however. Great steaks and hamburger"
"It's a nice store. It's not as cheap as Walmart but you don't have to drive to Rockford or Freeport either. We're happy. Staff are always helpful. Jessica is a delight and always stops to chat with my children. Good service is a huge selling point."
