"Worried about photos. Instead of child safety! School next to my house. A freedom insured driver took out my mailbox and 2000k rock in front of house. Rock ended up on sidewalk. City wants it moves for child safety. AF wont even call me back after i told them city is going to give me a violation. Mot to mention i have to het my mail st the post office because they want to assess the damage first. Grass all tore up. Terrible customer service apparently with a 1.6 rating a terrible insurance company too."

"Wish I could give them zero stars. Got into a car accident in 2022, I was in felt of the car accident, I had full coverage. and AFI are refurling to pay me for all the medical bills, towing/storage, rental vehicle, and for the told loss of the vehicle. I have gotten an attorney to help me out and there is no way you can give them a lawsuit to AFI. AFI after the car accident they were not useful they are refurling to answer my call and email to them also they forced me have put change my policy into business policy and charge me $4,500 to keep my policy with them. I now have State Farm and charge me $650 for their policy. Today in total I have spent more than $50k in getting a new vehicle, medical bills, towing/storage and new insurance policy with SF and I haven't gotten a single penny out of them except for excuses."

"I have them as my insurance company. I was in an accident in September. It took forever to have my claim approved. I'm still waiting for them to fix my car. They didn't have a shop I could take it to and ask me to find one. The shops around my area are book and canot give me an estimate when they can fix my car. I'm getting a new car and will never use this company to insure a car again."

"I was involved in a automobile crash in(06-19-2023) Louisville, Ky, where my vehicle was struck from the back by an insured motorist insured by American Freedom. Their client was 100% at fault, and this company was very hard to communicate with and once we were in communications they gave me the same generic excuse that they gave to others that were involved in accidents with their clients. "We are waiting for a statement" from the registered owner before they can settle the claim. So it appears that if the registered owner does not give a statement this company will not settle the claim even if they are 100% at fault. In my opinion the company is selling a piece of paper that offers temporary insurance at an "over-priced" cost for paper (proof of insurance) that allows other wise uninsured motorist to operate vehicles that has a high percentage of being at fault drivers. With all the negative reviews and the complaints that were filed with Illinois Commission of Insurance it's hard to believe that this company still exist. *** UPDATED 11/27/23*** WOW can you believe this we just received a letter from American Freedom Insurance Company. "Please be advised that we are hereby DENYING coverage for the above captioned loss." Because their insured/ customer, "has failed to provide the company with a written statement of facts and/or additional information to assist in determining liability and/ or coverage; therefore, the insured has breached one or more of the insurance policy conditions regarding notice, assistance and cooperation." I guess physical evidence and a police report is not sufficient enough for this company to make good on a claim that was clearly the fault of their client. Their clients car was not reported stolen, and the driver had permission to be in possession of the INSURED vehicle that was insured with American Freedom Insurance Company. So what I'm understanding is that if you are involved in a vehicle crash with American Freedom Insurance Company and you're at fault, play by American Freedom Insurance Company's rules . Don't make a statement or cooperate, you cannot be held liable. I'm just asking if this is the correct way of doing business with this insurance company."

"The most fraudulent representation of an insurance company. If you are hit by one of their drivers just know they never pay to fix your vehicle. They will be out of business soon. I can't imaging this scam lasting much longer. There mission statement should says, "Drive cheap because we will not pay any claim against us." STAY AWAY!!!"
