Reviews of ZCan Historic - Santa Anna Capture Site
"1 star review due to the fact that it portrays that it is open to the public, though, when I put my GPS to guide me to get this post, it was gated/blocked off to the public…. How are we supposed to visit this landmark? Make an appointment?"
"The capture site of Santa Anna during the Texas Independence war. About 13 miles from the Battle of San Jacinto. There is a stone marker and a small park here with picnic tables on the edge of the San Jacinto river. You can fish here, but I wouldn't eat anything caught here."
"This is an amazing hidden historic location to learn about Mexican-American history. Great view to take older kids and eat lunch out or have a picnic"
"An extremely historic spot, for the state of Texas. Capturing Santa Anna guaranteed, that Texas would win its independence from Mexico. Long Live The Republic!"
"Good place to have picnic since they clean it up and added landscaping, benches. You can fish here also but I recommend catch and release due to chemical plant and barge traffic. This place will stay nice if the people would clean up behind themselves!"
