The Old Fire Station No. 7, located at 2403 Milam Street in Houston, Texas, is home to the Houston Fire Museum. While the museum is currently closed for historic preservation until June 2024, visitors can still support the institution by shopping at their gift shop, which has temporarily relocated to 3219 Milam St.

The Houston Fire Museum aims to engage, educate, and enlighten the community on the importance of fire and life safety, as well as preserve the history and heritage of Houston's diverse fire service. The institution is led by Board Chair Tom McDonald, Trustee Jay Evans, and Director Kate Ryther.

Supporters can purchase custom engraved pavers to contribute to the historic preservation of "Old 7's." Updates to personal information can also earn visitors a 10% discount on their next purchase. The museum encourages online shopping with shipping and curbside pickup options, but welcomes in-person visits during business hours with free metered parking available.

Visitors can also join the museum's mailing list for another 10% discount on online purchases. The Houston Fire Museum has received generous funding from Humanities Texas and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the federal CARES Act.
