The owner has been in the same location for about 40 years. He has a pretty wide selection for men and women. You won't find Prada in here. But you will find popular brands at very fair prices. I found the most comfortable pair of sneakers I've ever tried when we were there last week. I've worn them every day since. Normally, if I need shoes (a few times a decade) I end up at Kohl's. The prices here are comparable but since it is locally owned, I would much rather give them my business. Ironically, I walked out buying something and my wife did not. But we are both sold on Athenian. Next time we are in the area, we'll be back."
